Biography

Miho Nomura has established herself as one of the premier young composers of contemporary Hollywood film and television scores. Her work spans DVD behind-the-scenes documentaries of blockbuster films, episodic television, film soundtracks, animation and other projects that demand great musical talent and skill in a vast array of musical genres.

Her diverse skills encompass composing, producing, orchestrating and engineering. She produces very high production value scores that have been featured in such DVDs as The Fantastic Four, X-Men, Elektra, Prison Break, Parent Trap 2, Alien Quadrilogy (DVD Exclusive Award) and War of the Worlds. Her music is also frequently heard on NBC, History Channel, National Geographic, TLC and A&E Discovery. Among her musical strengths is her ability to combine classical elements with an urban sound resulting in unique pieces in the modern musical landscape.

With a background in classical music she started playing organ at the age of five and won her first music award at the age of nine. Miho earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music majoring in film scoring and jazz piano and receiving a scholarship for Excellence in Music. She also studied film scoring with Academy Award winning composer Jerry Goldsmith at UCLA.

In addition to the music scene Miho has an active international network in the entertainment industry working as an executive producer. Drawing on both her knowledge of international business and high level contacts enables her to construct many high profile ventures. She is currently producing and creating exciting new projects by initiating ideas and business opportunities with various global partners.
